As Long as the Moon Lasts (a portrait of America)
52 images, unpublished | 2018 - 2025
A large portion of this project was photographed in 2022, during a 5 week cross country road trip through the United States.. Moving southwest through Santa Fe, passing through Phoenix and onward through the desert before reaching the California coast. After some time there, the journey turned Northeast towards Salt Lake City, and then homeward, towards Toronto. The rest of the images were made during shorter tripods into the U.S., primarily to Florida.
The first time I drove across America was in 1993, when I was 8 years old. The open road has always been an intriguing part of my life and imagination, and our culture at large.
